Although Indian media never groped on the tragedy of Nandigram and despite of completely rubbish ideology of SEZ, never criticized it the way it needed to be on rational premises, still, what the Indian intellectuals thought about it?
It is not as if the Nandigram incidence is motivating me, as usual, I am trying to be completely unbiased on this issue.
How righteous and reasonable is the collectivistic approach of statism?
Statism itself is term to depict derogatory sense, and India is extremely suffering from this illness.
From education to medical helps, from technology to economics, the interference of government is extreme. Although, the economic revolution started in early 90’s, yet the dream of individual economic independence is still not possible.
It is true that on some plane or other, Indian media is trying to neutralize the religionist ideology of pseudo-secularism in India, which never arouse from the Nehruvian lines of religious skepticism towards state’s secularism, still neither Indian media, nor Indian ideologists and thinkers ever thought of economic freedom in India!
Indian governmental system significantly intervenes in personal, social or economic matters of an individual.
Be it case of Nandigram, or Gurgaon SEZ, or the Gujarat or Punjab riots, or Narmada Dam project case, or the irrational reservation policies and quotas system, or personal laws based on religion, it is all static conditioning of Indian premises.
I am sincerely NOT skeptic about other’s Idea of ownership of their mind and body, yet I have some pertinent questions.
It is true that since 1991, India is opening up on some platforms, but is India still not following statism.
India has state majorities in most of the industries, some of which are totally state controlled.
Even on some premises, if India is following the mixed economic system (lets assume), then also
Although government allows free enterprises on certain controlling limits, but ultimate hold is of Government in almost all industries and service sectors. Particularly those associated to national defense, resources, communications and media, infrastructure etc.
There is no right of property in India. They forces people to leave their houses at any instance without any pay back (Narmada dam case) and they even do not let a farmer decide if he wants to sell his land or not (Gurgaon and Nandigram case).
The government regulates, either directly or indirectly, international money transfers, international trade, wages, prices, internal investment labor markets, small scale industries.
The government promotes nationalism, strengthens a chauvinistic classification amongst its citizens and associates the schooling system with these endeavors.
The government preaches ethics, socialism, and religion and increases mysticism by including religion in education system and allowing religious institutes to interfere in education system. Last year UP government, included SHOLAY in school courses and this year MP government is trying to make Ramayana an essential subject for philosophy graduates. Urdu lectures and Ullemas are especially provided for islamists and I am sure they uses my money for that which I earned by hard endeavors of my Mind and My body.
The government promotes communal and caste based discrimination regarding reservation and scholarships, even they didn’t left AIMS and IIMs and IITs, and I cannot deny paying them money for doing all that. I do not want any subsidy but they throws subsidies on me, and takes taxes on its behalf. I even do not know where is the money I earned by using my Body and My mind is being used.
I cannot roam freely in my own cities premises, if I want to have a picture at a monument of architectural importance, I am not allowed for.
Even they dictate me how and on what predefined conditions, I must do my job and design for buildings, I am not at all free to work according to my potential, they regulates me.
I pay for police, but I am not secure, I pay for Indian intelligence yet fear of a instant bomb blast is there.
Despite of all these realities, will you please tell me how may I also feel like having and owning my own mind and body?
Even I cannot feel my body free and my own when in morning here in Mumbai these days when I drive towards office in the so rash traffic and completely abrasive traffic laws and public. They force me to use my mind and body according to their own premises irrespective of any reasonable regularity, and I am forced to use my mind and body to follow them, otherwise I will be hurt or punished.
If I failed In achieving My Freedom, If I failed in achieving a status where I may proudly and happily say that I DO own My mind and My body, then only I will Procreate, Otherwise NOT.
I accept whole-heartedly, without any false-ego and without any shame, that I am a slave.
However, I have an aim of freedom. I will struggle to my last breath to gain a position may be for a while, where I may say, with complete honesty and rational conviction, that yes I am free and I do own My mind and My body!
So much I want to gift this mind and this body to the man I love.
Nevertheless, if I failed to attain my freedom, I will deny procreating.
I would not produce one more slave!
And this is all rationality in me I can feel at my innermost earnest soul.
