Today, as you read this another 394.000 children were born into this world…
They break like waves of hunger and desire upon these eroded lands, carrying the curses of history, a history that is yet unwritten…
The oil burns in the thick, black columns - the buzz saws echo through the forest floor…
They shout “give us a fair share, give us justice”

    …here comes the war…
On a grey morning to the south of here, two young men in makeshift uniforms peer into the misty light and figures dart behind the trees as a ship of rifles round echos out across the fields…
Well they hardly know their secret mother tongue…but they know their duty to defend the flag hanging limp and bloody above the village church…
While a thousand miles away in a warehouse complex down the river…young money men play painfull games
    …here comes the war
Put on the lights on the age of reason…blow out the candle and tell us another of those great stories…the once about serial killers…
Let dreams flow into savage times…
Do you hear the sirens scream across the city, we’ve had three hot nights in succession..the riot reason is here again…
Dear brother, lead us back into the valley of shadows of death
    …here comes the war
Do you think, we were born in peaceful times?
    Faster,faster…like a whirrling dish spinning round…faster,faster…until the centre cannot hold…faster, faster…
You screamed “give us liberty or give us death”…
Now you’ve got both… What do you want next?
    …here comes the war
For God’s sake. let us put on the lights on the age of reason…
I, for one will keep the light of peace burning brightly….

New Model Army rocks with this song. The song just explains the present condition of world, a haphazard of logic and illogic, ethical objectivism and mystical dilemmas, Individual honesty and collectivistic frauds, rational lucidity and religious quagmires.
India is also facing similar situations. Be it tension between different religious groups in Kashmir, West Bengal, Aligarh, Kanpur, Godhra, or linguistic discrimination in Assam, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, or the caste discriminations in Bihar, UP, MP, Karnataka, TN.
Every part seems to be in a state of flux within itself.
No matters they are farmers of Vidharbha or Kutch or Rajasthan, or the Tea farm workers of Darjeeling West Bengal, if they are committing suicide, it shows something is wrong.
I know things are improving and will improve, but this is fact, we are yet not in the Age of Reason.
Some other songs which I exceptionally like are Zombie by the Irish band Cranberries (I am true fan of Dolores O’Riordan) and Civil War by Guns N’ Roses.

      Hi

A very nice and objective analysis of the current Indian scene.
I don’t always agree with ur point of view (ur earlier posts), but in this matter we seem to have the same opinion.
“I know things are improving and will improve, but this is fact, we are yet not in the Age of Reason.”

-I specially like the ray of optimism you have shown in the above statement.

      Keep it up.

A very good analysis of the state of affairs all over the world.
We are living in a world were the rich produces weapons , sells it to poor countries, induces hatred and war between them, then conquers both the territories, so that they can drain all the wealth back to their homeland, which is again spent for building more weapons !

    8. unpretentious_diva Says:

      @lonelyreddevil

First of all, your accusation is wrong.
Secondly, even if it is right, then also, it’s not at all the fault of any other nation who produces weapons.

Its the fault of those nations who just cannot think properly that what is their good or what is bad.
