Share with me, friend of mine’
From the font of passions pleasure’
Unknowing we both’
Filled our cups,
Willingly taking the poison.
Share with me, friend of mine’
The pain of pleasures poison,
For within its path,
We find ourselves,
Forever and anon.
Share with me, friend of mine’
The beauty and the light,
For within each day,
Within ourselves,
There is untouched joy and life.

August 13th, 2008 at 12:38 amcongratulations…Its really beautiful… :)
though poetry can have many interpretations I reply to one that I make of it…
It appears to me as a monologue rather than dialogue between the two self’s. I guess there has to be a reply too…
Dont Share….just live with me
Dont betray my ‘fire’ on the name of reason
For she is a bloom of different season
Though thou have won and my voice slowly subside
Let me keep my passion… my fire alive
What poisons thee is my elixir of life
An untouched joy awaiting ripe
Remember my friend if I die so would thou
For only dead walk without a shadow…
We are nothing but opposites of a coin
Can never arrive at the same point
What I can see is blinded to thee
So don’t share ….just live with me
poetry is not completely unbiased…which would have been the case had you yourself written the second half ….I have my biases which has come in….but thats the voice I would give to my fire, my second self :)

August 13th, 2008 at 12:56 ami’m so sorry you didn’t “liked” my idea of pragmatism or idealism…funny thing is, you almost sound like i was supposed to write to please you!!!
anyway…poems are a personal thing don’t you think? is it necessary that the “idealist” should behave exactly the way you think they should…i mean, i there any written rule?! i wrote about ONE specific idealist and ONE specific Pragmatic….who may not be the “perfect” picture of either of their categories but i’d still call them that.
p.s. pragmatist - a person who takes a practical approach to problems and is concerned primarily with the success or failure of her actions
i·de·al·ist
(-d-lst)
n.
1. One whose conduct is influenced by ideals that often conflict with practical considerations.
2. One who is unrealistic and impractical; a visionary.
3. An artist or writer whose work is imbued with idealism.
4. An adherent of any system of philosophical idealism.
