Emotions, Hedonism, Rationality and Morality in The Dreamland–Part 1What are emotions? Can they be cause, or they are effects?
I deny being a preacher, and I deny to be preached. But I am free to express that which is rationally true at my standards.
I feel emotions are the effects of my rational endeavors, my values and my sense of morals.
Emotions cannot be the cause for any of my actions, but my actions are the cause for my emotions.
It is not always that I definitely know the exact reason behind an emotion I feel at some moment, but either I know it exactly or I try to find out why this emotion is dwelling in my mind.
To be happy, is my rational moral of life. But what is happiness? It cannot be subjective concept. Yet, the perceptions can be different. Some can be right, some can be wrong.
First of all I should define what “Happiness” is for me.
Moral happiness:
happiness that is obtained and maintained in such a way that it does not infringe upon any rational person’s right to obtain or maintain happiness.
Happiness:
a state of mind in which the mind is most productive even if the state is maintained for any indefinitely long period of time.
Again
Maybe I should refine the definition to say that “a part of the mind is in a state such that it can control the rest of the mind and body’s actions such that they remain productive as long as the said state lasts”. This is only a minor refinement of definition, in my opinion.
Happiness cannot be simply an emotional state of feeling good, of being free from pain and unpleasant emotions.
If it is then a robber can never be happy after robbing. A solider while dieing for the safety of border in extreme pains feels the real happiness cause he is producing he is fulfilling his work and duty…an idle person can never be happy he can only be bore…lets take the example of a worker …he is working hard he is happy he is producing to his maximum efficiency…suddenly a news comes that his pregnant wife had given a cute baby. He will surely feel happy and he will be distracted from his work. His efficiency will certainly loose down in that particular work, But that will not kill his creativity. If he is happy and if his happiness is really raised his efficiency to create will also increase.
But may be in other channel…he may create a proper and beautiful situation to make his wife feel happy and comfortable at that moment. May be he will buy a diamond ring for her. That is production of emotional creativity. So the thing is if a man is happy it certainly means that he is creating at his maximum efficiency. May be he is creating jokes with his friends after taking a little alcohol. But if he is happy he is obviously producing at his maximum creativity. And once a person looses his efficiency of creating producing, it simply means he is not happy.
If a person is able to reason out his emotions, then emotions becomes an objective. If some emotion “say Anger or Jealousy is arising in, and if he find out that the premises of his emotions are wrong, he would not act on them. He will correct his premises.
If a person is feeling amoral about an emotion, he would correct it. He cannot take any emotion as basic reason, yet he will try to rationalize his emotions.
A rational man cannot rape, he cannot steal, he cannot rob, he cannot fight, cannot kill. In fact, a rational man cannot be criminal in any sense. He can neither be the oppressor nor can he be the oppressed. He cannot be the tormentor, nor can he be the tormented (both are crimes in one way or other).
The rational human never acts on emotions for which he cannot reason out. To appraise a situation, the rational human exactly knows why he reacts and whether he is right. And if he is not right, he would not do it.
He never faces any inner conflict any duality of mind, he never says that his mind saying this and heart is saying that. His conscious remains in perfect harmony. His emotions can never be a hurdle for him but they are his friends, his means of enjoyment. But emotions are not his lead; the lead is always his mind, his rationality. In actuality, a rational man does not need any type of policing be it moral or legal.

I had a friend, who used to say that she acts on emotions and then rationalizes them. That is cheating. A person who takes his emotions as the cause and her mind as their effect, if she is guided by her emotions and uses her mind only to rationalize or justify her emotions, then he/she is immoral, she is reproving herself to melancholy, failure, defeat, and she will achieve nothing but destruction –her own and that of others.
This all itself means that hedonism cannot be rational.
Pleasure alone cannot be the means of happiness.
But still, happiness alone can be the rational of a Human.

So basiaclly to be happy, one need to be free of irrationalities and confusing subjectives,to be free, one needs a mind with complete harmony with her emotions, one need to be
Free-Mind!
A person living in cave since last 20 years, if says he is the most happy person, you cannot judge his happiness.
Anyways, when a dream is been talked about, the dreamer is the rule to accept what can be and what cannot be.
Aristotle said that the ultimate goal of living is eudemonia, to be happy always.
But what is happiness?
Some says it is pleasure, some says it is knowledge, some says it is esteem of admired others, while other says it is wealth, friends and health! What Happiness is for you?
For me, Happiness is a successful human living, a life of integrated living. A life of being active, a life of being reasonable including good friends, wealth, good fortune, health, knowledge, esteem and personal excellence.
What is the limit of knowledge? It is limitless. No technology can be end of technological development. No knowledge can be end of knowledge seeking. It is an active cycle, and if a man is not constantly active to reach further success, he cannot be happy!
I want to live a full life. Most of the humans do not live full lives. Lives, constantly and consciously organized around goals and purposes spanning a life span and chosen in accord with reason.

Consider for a moment, what if environment changes? Who will survive?
Those who persist to live there mere lives for the sake of inactive happiness who are “merely living” lack the foresight and the physical or mental flexibility that would be necessary to ensure survival, or at least make it more likely, if the environment were to change in significant ways . According to this view, “merely living” persons are not fit or adaptive, while those who live full lives are fit or adaptive — at least in some logic, say Darwinian logic of ‘fit’ or ‘adaptive’.
To lead a full life, the “full individual” will constantly keep trying to evolve and develop and discover and invent. And for that, man-management is needed.
Technology does not need to be managed, but the man is.
No matters how much success he may achieve, and how much knowledgable he may become,
The full-individual will again keep trying setting goals, and developing and increasing further.
And management and central rulings are for those “full-individuals”, who will never stop just for the sake of that which has been allready achieved.
They will increase their span of space to search and seek further. They will look outside the Atlantis, outside the earth, outside the solar system.
They cannot stop at one goal or other.
I deserve to be such a “Full Individual” I deserve to be Happy. And I deserve the company of such “Full Individuals”.
And for that only the central system will be needed, to keep a vigil about the motives and to provide safe and uncompromising system, to let the individual search, seek and develop more, unhindered.
