@amol
partial privatization is a bogus idea. it is corporatism at best and daylight loot of the treasury sometimes. is there anything called as half pregnant?

btw, re: privatization -what is your take on the works of elinor ostorm and williamson who won the nobel for showing that institutions evolve to take care of 'the commons'?. privatization doesnt mean that things have to end up with individuals.communities can own and provide similar services too.
i think privatization is too parochial a term. it should be free non coercive evolution of laws. property laws evolving in an non coercive way can take its own way either ending up in total privatization for some services and community ownership for some others.the point still remains the non involvement of govt(or whatever source of coercion)

Well, I never thought that my comments intend to piss anybody off. But thanks anyway for accepting it. I don't intend insult by mentioning the grammatical errors, it happens!

I pointed out the Gold quadrilateral project because it was a nice start for infrastructure development through partial/full privatization.

But as you mentioned yourself, that in India, no sector is totally privatized. Considering that selling off property rights over forests would be extremely difficult. Lending the lands for cultivation and maintenance makes sense, but it will involve huge corruption, bribing as to who gets it. And then I also think about oil majors squashing money out of our pockets.

So coming back again to full privatization, I don't think government will ever agree on that. It is a massive part of our nation, those who would eventually own large chunks of it, will partly own our nation.

We'll skip the exaggeration for a while, but think about how land developers have started to gather huge masses of land inside cities. Once they own the farm lands, what they 'do' with it remains far less under the control of government. This means, without proper law and enforcement, it would be a sheer disaster!

But it utterly failed in the infrastructure developement and maintainance. Now if you consider what happened with the Gold Quadiralateral project, with its contracting and subcontracting, you will understand that it is nothing but an avenue for corrupt politics.

As a matter of fact, there is no sector of Indian market which is totally privatized not even telecommunication (where the semi-gove3rnmental BSNL plays the key-role), not a single one.

About golden quadrilateral project, well you are providing the evidence by yourself, if a sector is totally privatized, it cannot remain under the relams of politics. Privatixzation of roads has been discussed earlier with almost all possible questions/issues contentions being discussed and answered properly here..http://www.reasonforliberty.com/anarcho-capitalism/private-roads.html You may take a read and may raise any question if you feel you need an answer about it.
I have already mentioned in the article that partial privatization will fail, what is needed is total privatization.

About your comments being rejected, I don't remember who rejected your comment, if your comments make sense, your comment cannot be rejected, if your comment are just meant to piss others off, your comments cannot stay.

About the gramatical erros, well I never was good in gramar/english. and I don't think I would ever be, so, I think I need an editor, but many a times, even the editor mises out the errors. I think gramatical errors are necessary, otherwise the articl;e will prove out to be perfect. and people usually do not like perfectness.

The total privatization has indeed worked wonders in many areas including industries, banking and insurance (partial). But it utterly failed in the infrastructure developement and maintainance. I do assume that the preservation of Indian forests comes under infrastructure because it involves land. Now if you consider what happened with the Gold Quadiralateral project, with its contracting and subcontracting, you will understand that it is nothing but an avenue for corrupt politics.

I will not go long .
You write well, but do consider these small errors:

Trees and forests helps in formulating the seasons, they acts as cleanser of the air surrounding human society and helps in maintaining ground water levels

Corrected: Trees and forests help.... and help in maintaining...

The figures themselves signifies the abysmal position and points out the extreme...

Corrected: The figures themselves signify the... and point...

The forests necessarily needs human endeavour for their proper growth and conservation.

Corrected: The forests necessarily need human endeavou...
