You seem to be devout follower of Adam Smith, having no idea of ground realities, neither any formal training to understand social psyche.
For once, free market can be a solution to all problems only in an ideal world(which, of course, exists only in imagination of such theorists)
Therefore, to think that law and order, defense, administration etc. can be solved using free market is pathetic.
What happens in free market is that power vests with the one who already has money. This starts the vicious cycle which is ultimately responsible for "Rich being more rich & poor becoming poorer".
We need someone talented to manage such situations. And the most effective way to select such person is through democracy or a competitive exam to recognize the talent. This is what democracy and bureaucracy is all about.
No society can survive on purely capitalist regime as is evidenced by the fact that you don't see any such system in real world except in books.
Moreover, the idea of individual liberty has to be analyzed in terms of its historical & cultural perspective. It is quite recent phenomenon originating in the west just a couple of century ago.
Many cultures & civilization have developed an entirely different system based on social responsibilities and have been more successful. (I'm talking of oriental cultures China etc.)
Thus, you should refine your thoughts and stop these bashing of tested systems without any evidential support.
I would like you to do some comparative study on social structure, people's needs, aspirations, talents of the western & Indian society and then only comment on this topic

Gold standard under govt control ? bad idea. the best way is competition and free market banking.let private players create their own moneey backed by whatever thing they deem appropriate. most possibly,it would gravitate towards gold. one can never trust the govt to adhere to a gold standard if govt had monopoly over issuance of money.abolish this monopoly, the gold standard or whatever the modern market decides will replace it.we cant be stuck on gold if we are unwilling to deligitimize govt monopoly

Hehe--you should come to talk in the US--you would be scandalized at how many Americans would disagree with you, even though the wealth of the US is built, in fact, on the *truth* of your comments.
