Necrophilia, a fantasy, Obsessive Necrophilia, a crime.
Sally Anne Bowman
Sally Anne Bowman, an 18 year old cute promising British model was killed brutally by Chef Mark Dixie who left her for dead after wounding her several times with a knife in the neck and abdomen and cutting her on different parts of her body. Chef Mark Dixie later confessed that he had sex with dead Sally.
It may sound like a case of necrophilia. We discussed about the Necrophobia, let us take a look about necrophilia now.
Necrophilia is sexual attraction towards dead body. According to me necrophilia is a fetish and not a crime. Many of us do possess such fetishes.
The first historical mention is found in the hieroglyphics of ancient Egypt. It warned parents and husbands to allow the bodies of females to decompose for three days before turning them over to burial attendants who might otherwise use them for sexual purposes. It must have taken a strong stomach to let the wife’s body rot in the desert heat for seventy two hours before you called the undertaker. Even Greek mythology acclaims of necrophilia.necrophilia
Queen Penthesilea was one of the greatest Amazon warriors, known for her wisdom, bravery and skill in weapons; she fought in the Trozan war supporting King Priam of Troy. She rode up at the head of a large army and, after Hector’s (elder son of King Priam) death, she fought with Achilles. Achilles, the greatest Greek warrior, speared Penthisilea and dragged her from her saddle by the hair. As she lay dead on the ground, dying, the Greek soldiers cried against her and abused her. When Achilles removed her mask, Achilles fell in love with the Amazon queen’s beauty and committed necrophilia upon her body.
An incredible incident related by a doctor of the Sorbonne in 1802 illustrates necrophilia further. A young monk stopped up at an inn which was paying bereavement for the loss of the inn owner’s daughter. The inn owner asked the young monk to pay a wake over her, and he agreed. That night the monk had sex with that dead girl and departed the following morning. Later that day, when the people were putting the coffin in the ground, someone heard movement; the casket was opened and the young girl is put back to bed and nursed to health. A short time later the first signs of pregnancy appeared and at the end of nine months she gave birth to a baby, all the while claiming her virginity. Several years later the monk renounced his vows for various reasons and soon his affairs brought him back to the inn. Finding the “deceased” alive and a mother, he confessed his actions and married the girl.necrophilia_
What sets us humans apart from the rest of the animal kingdom is our ability to reason. With ability to reason via rational faculty comes the ability to dream and imagine from which we get the wish and desire to learn about ourselves as well as the environment and the world around us. While the rest of nature is surviving and adapting by instinct alone, humanity survives because we have an adaptive brain that functions on multiple levels of thought and consciousness; constantly working on cause and effect relationships within the world around us. Sexuality is a major part in our psyche. To disregard it only serves to asphyxiate the mind, which does no good rather makes us less than what we are.
Many of us can have fantasies regarding dead corpses. And I don’t think it is any wrong to fantasize about it. Even mock games with your partner may be enjoyed. In fact, if someone enjoys sex with a real dead body, then also it cannot be termed as immoral or crime, as the dead body is dead, and it cannot be termed as aggression. Having sex with a dead body will only be comparable to some sort of masturbation.
What is crime is obsession regarding that fetish. Obsession promoted violence and aggression.
If some obsessive necrophilia person starts killing living person for fulfilling his fetishes for dead bodies, then sure it is a crime. Aggression is surely a crime.
Human mind is complex. There are some cases of serial killers too who killed girls for fulfilling their necrophilia fetish only. Such actions surely cannot be tolerated in any society.
Killing for the sake of sex after death, while sensationalized by famous serial killers, is not really the “norm” of one fantasizing sex with a dead person. Killing is aggression and hence it is crime.
Medically talking, Necrophilia is just one fetish in a long list of paraphilias ranging from things like Abasiophilia (preferring sex with a lame or crippled partner) to Zoophilia (sex with animals).
Even fantasizing sex with an unconscious or sleeping person (Somnophilia) is not crime, yet enforcing unconscious to fulfill the obsessed fantasy is crime.
Obviously, obsession regarding anything any fantasy is a crime, as it involves aggression over liberty of other person.
Yet, I don’t think that the Chef Mark Dixie was suffering from obsessive necrophilia which caused him to kill Sally so brutally. I think He performed an act of necrophilia which is really more toward the term, necrochlesis (sex with a corpse), rather than the obsessive paraphilia. He was not obsessed with having sex with the dead.

never heard abt such a fetish before. but really feels yucky, considering that a corpse starts giving out a strong stench in just an hour or 2.also, to perform copulation on a body that has bruises and is bleeding shows the sickness of the guys mind, or mebbe the anger.

i wish u could discuss things more objectively………and not so much use escapism.
u have not addreseed the real question whether necrophilia by itself is right or wrong. what right does an individual have over the other, more so over their dead body. how can he or she make others body impure, just because there is no material harm to anybody? u have asked no questions. u have answered none. ur intelligence is notable.so is ur lack of application of it. and please dont sensationalise issues which should be dealt with sensitivity. ofcourse ur readers are ignorant, so u escape with just admirations

  9. bunny_hari07 Says:

did you ever see a person dying..
I wonder.. am sure you are ignorant of the sensitivity of the term death.. sweetheart.. just because a corpse isnt alive doesnt mean it has lost all its value and is no different than your *****..
get real girl… its not just corpse its a human being who has just left us.. we respect its soul..
you are insane and maybe if you like it so much .. you might get lucky to have someone **** your dead body once you are dead.. and am sure.. as you say.. you might just like it..
    Good luck !!!

This is a very liberal view, but very balanced and intelligent; and of course this text is a display of deep understanding of and respect for the importance of emotions, feelings and the sensual realm. Well documented too. SCHS Belgium

this was sick and twisted. that corpse your ******* isn’t just a sex toy. thats the HUMAN remains of someones son, daughter, mother, father, sister, or brother.
i agree with bunny_hari07. i am sure you have never seen someone die. even in death people are still humans. i am in the military and i’ve had to hold a person as they died and they didn’t say “when im dead you can **** me” they said “tell my wife i love her”. im about 110% no one signing up for any club that allows people to **** their dead body and that includes you. i understand your a sick person that wants to do things unmoral. i wanted to do unmoral things to the creeps we cought in war but it doesn’t mean it was the right thing to do. for the love of god have some self control.

    @ Danny

Poor kid, for the love of god have some self control.

I never said in my article that I am necrophiliac. I am not. What I said is, I do not consider any necrophiliac as someone wrong or criminal. It is his fantasy and he is surely free to entertain his fantasy unless, he is not overpassing anybody’s individual rights.
