Yep very true. And such tyranny becomes unbearable when politicians and political parties start using them for their political bases and vote banks. In India, even such activities have been noticed upon. Be it congress run over promoting pseudo-secularism or BJP’s stand over promoting saffronism. So the point is, the ill of religious moral policing is pervasive and the ills need to be criticized. Because that’s the only way to defend against it.

Its a joke that the Pope thinks its relevant to include this in his Christmas message! I totally agree with you when you say ‘after a number of paedophile scandals among the priesthood one might start to question if celibate priests and an insistence on straight sex only is always the right way. ’ and

Such views like this of the Catholic faith and governments anger me beyond words. We’re an open, march for ALL human rights, type of family. This world needs to realize that simple fact of equality for all humans, not judgments, not shoving one’s beliefs down the throat of others, but true equality!
Excellent post and glad you included photos instead of hiding them “behind doors that should NOT be closed.” FTR, I don’t believe in the concept of “sin” and thank goodness I’m not Catholic… I have enough guilt without the added ‘“sin” package.That’s a whole other blog post though. Yes, I do believe people commit wrongs, crimes, etc- Here, it is the Catholic Church’s beliefs thrust on others that whips through history with vicious velocity of wrongs that has affected too many good people.

The catholic church to my mind is an evil organization! and say what you want about Islam, but they are just a bush of loonies like Laden et al. But there is no organized goliath like the catholic church exists. And to be honest, I have not seen a single good act for humanity coming from the catholic church throughout its history! It is institutionalized tyranny.

No it is Divulge. Divulge means to “proclaim publicly” .

Pope is giving his message to his folks as per his interpretation of his religious belief. And its upto his Folks to decide what to do with his message.
Your reaction seems to be the sort of moral policing that you are accusing the Pope of…

Actually, the Church’s drive against homosexuality is just about as old as the act itself. It existed since time immemorial. I’d hate to imagine that the church is slipping into increasing irrelevance, but I’d certainly wish that if there is a god up there, then she’s got better things to do than send homosexuals to hell for “sinning”… Oh, btw, a happy new year to you!

Homosexuality is a natural phenomenon based on brain wiring, only because it is different from majority it does not become unnatural. Every human has a right to choose their partner as per their liking. I know many people who are strictly against it as it being some kind of sin and such belief systems are deep rooted in male chauvinism. I hope as the society progresses we will be able to appreciate and accept homosexuality.

Dude you just like watching Girl-on-girl action, but if you don’t find anything wrong with Lesbianism, then you should not be having any problem with Gays. Its just bullshit logic that girl-on-girl action is more natural, and man-on-man action is not.

I love lesbians (nice pic there) atleast watching them and then thinking about something wicked but socially i am against gayist philosophy. Sexual orientation should be personal thing and when unnatural it should be veiled extremely. I can understand how lesbianism developed in humans as in prehistoric times the women clubbed together in thcaves while men went on hunting expeditions so women felt more comfortable withthem selves. The men in the other hand had no hands free to get jiggy. Hunting expedition were survival battles. Male gayism is either due to lack of testosterone or abundance of it whic causes heightened sexual desires almost animalistic.

As an athiest, I am not against people following religion. But I certainly don’t like it when people like the Pope can represent a religion and make comments that are their individual opinions claiming them to be opinions of the religious community. And blind people also accept them. Religion is worst affected by collectivism and should always be an individual choice
